Soak 1 tablespoon Methi or Fenugreek seeds in 100 Mili liters of water for night and drink this water empty stomach in morning. It is a great way to control diabetes.
A glass of tomato juice with a pinch of black salt and black pepper early morning empty stomach is also very good countering diabetes, if getting Fenugreek is tough one can try this.
Almond: soak 6 almonds in water for full night and taking them in morning helps to control diabetes.
Whole grains, Oats , Gram flour, Millet and other fibre rich foods should be included in your daily diet.
Milk contains good amount of Protein and Carbohydrate and also control blood sugar.Diabetic people should have two glasses of milk daily.
Fiber rich vegetables:
Fiber rich vegetables like Okra,Corns, Green Peas, Green beans (Sem), Broccoli, Spinach and other leafy vegetables should be an integral part of your diet. Daal and sprouts also provide good fiber and Protein.
Omega-3 rich foods:
Omega-3 and mono-saturated fats are good for controlling Diabetes। Sunflower oil,Fish oil and olive oil are good source of it.These oils have less cholesterol and trans fat.
Take small meals in short intervals:
Eating lot of food in one time increases blopd sugar , while a long gap between meals can cause low sugar level.So divide your itake in to small meals after small intervals throughout the day.Keep taking snacks like Dhokla,Upama,Poha,Fruits, high fiber cookies etc in between.
NO Drinks: Drinking is a complete No for diabetic patients.
Last but definitely not the least, Drink lots of water.
